Meet our office staff: Katie Trevett is our office manager and Laurie Parks is our administrative assistant and Susy Hopper is our receptionist.
We will likely interact with you when you first call, when you arrive for your appointment or whenever an insurance or billing question arises.
Scheduling your initial appointment
To make an initial appointment with a therapist at DVCC call our main telephone number, 623-487-7763. Susy, Katie or Laurie will likely answer the phone and ask for a brief description of the nature of the counseling services you are seeking. This will help us schedule you with the most appropriate therapist. If you are using our private pay option, you are able to see the therapist of your choice without regard to your insurance company. If you are using your employer’s insurance benefit, we will make sure the therapist we recommend is also listed with your insurance company. We will try to schedule you at your convience and with a therapist to meet your needs. We also have emergency appointment times, same day or next day if need be.If you reach our phone message, you are asked to leave your name and telephone number. Our goal is to speak with you when you call, but if that is not possible we will call you with in 24 hours.

Paying for therapy
There are two ways you may pay for therapy.
- You may use your behavioral health insurance benefit. DVCC is contracted with many major insurance companies. We bill the company and they pay us directly. You are responsible for your copay, deductible or coinsurance at the time of service. It is important that you understand that your insurance coverage is a contract between you and your insurance company and that you are ultimately responsible for the payment of your account. It is your responsibility to familiarize yourself with your insurance benefits. We will bill your insurance company one time; however you are financially responsible regardless of insurance coverage.
- You may also choose the self-pay option. You pay the rate for the service without involving your insurance company.
There is a $50 charge for No Show appointments or appointments not canceled within 24 hours. Other fees are assessed for phone consultations, record review, court appearance (whether testimony is given or not), case management and record release. These are not typically insurance billable items. If you have any questions, please ask prior to making an appointment.
Desert View is contracted with major insurance providers such as Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Cigna, Aetna, United Behavioral Health and United Healthcare/Pacificare, Magellan Health, Arizona Biodyne, Tricare, MHN, Contact and others. We are also contracted with numerous Employee Assistance (EAP) companies. Our office staff has all the information available to assist you with your insurance company benefits.

Office Hours
Our office hours are Monday through Saturday from 8am to 8pm.
Our scheduling office is available from 9 to 6pm. A message can be left which will be returned the following business day.
