Valorie Everton
Licensed Professional Counselor, Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Counselor

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, Certified Rehabilitation Counselor and one of the business owners. I bring over 25 years experience in private therapy practice and community behavioral health program development and management. I offer client centered counseling / psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral techniques, emotionally focused therapy, play therapy, as well as classes in mood management. I enjoy working with children ages 8 and older as well as teenagers and adults.

My goal is to meet people where they are, help them to identify their goals and strengths and teach new personal and relationship skills that will support their change and growth. I want clients to be able to let go of any shame, embarrassment or worry about being judged that controls or limits them in their lives.

One of my specialties is about helping couples heal and re-connect in areas where their connection, intimacy and partnership have been fractured. I teach couples new communication skills and how to hear and listen effectively using Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy techniques.

Another passion, Life Creating Rhythms, is a self-developed program teaching people (and their families) suffering mood instability, emotional chaos and self-destructive or self-defeating behaviors new techniques for replacing mood instability with balance and happiness. These techniques can also provide the next step for business and professional men and women who are looking for ways to reach their dreams or overcome the business and economic challenges of today.

David K. Ashbeck Ph.D.
Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Hi!  I’m David Ashbeck and am a licensed clinical social worker in Arizona and Wisconsin.  I’ve been a therapist since 1982 and have worked at Children’s Psychiatric Center in Eatontown, New Jersey, Eudes Family Programs, American Foundation of Counseling Services and New Wellness Associatives all in Green Bay, Wisconsin and now at Desert View Counseling.  I help all kinds of folks, young and old; married couples struggling to save their relationships; men and women facing depression or anxiety; people dealing with gambling addiction; people of different ages and circumstances in grief; young kids and teens growing in their identity and adjusting to life’s early demands; business people and workers of all kinds stressed out by demands of family and job; survivors of sexual and physical abuse resolving past issues and trying to find happiness; and other problems.

My approach is eclectic, a fancy word meaning that I try to use the approach and method that is practical and best suited to the person, circumstance and problem.  I have a background in Family Therapy, Marriage Counseling, Brief Solution Focused Therapy, Systems Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Rational Emotive Therapy, the 12 Step Approach to Gambling Addiction, Christian Counseling and others.

This sounds like a lot of “stuff” but which I hope may be helpful to clients.  However, what is most important to me is being able to be with people who are looking for help, walking with them and helping them as a person who has compassion, understanding and care learned from living my own human life
